The Dosi are selling a new string instrument from one of their trade contacts. It would be a perfect gift from the Gamma Quadrant's people to the god of music, if you can acquire it from the aggressive Dosi. When the away team matches the Dosi glare for glare, shout for shout, they gladly sell their new instrument to such fierce negotiators. Apollo is thrilled to receive this gift on behalf of the Gamma Quadrant. The away team are stubborn negotiators, but not as stubborn or as loud as the Dosi. The away team returns to the Alpha Quadrant with ringing ears and no new instrument to present to Apollo.

El-Aurian con artist Martus Mazur has a knack for knowing what people want. Such talent would make him the perfect man to give Apollo a tour of the Gamma Quadrant, if you can make it worth his time. The away team offers to get Mazur pardoned for many past cons if he takes Apollo on a tour of the Gamma Quadrant. Knowing a good deal when he hears one, Mazur agrees, and he makes a fantastic tour guide. The away team's offer is less interesting to Mazur than running his own cons. Without his help, they're forced to lead Apollo's tour of the Gamma Quadrant themselves, and the Olympian is unimpressed.

Security Apollo's first impression of the Gamma Quadrant and the Bajoran wormhole should be a good one. Ensure that remnants of the wormhole's self-replicating minefield from the Dominion War are safely removed. The away team disables the mimes' self-replication program and sweeps up the last of the minefield. When Apollo arrives, he'll see the Bajoran wormhole in its full glory as the Gamma Quadrant awaits. The away team begins cleaning up remaining mines from the Dominion War, but they begin self-replicating faster than the team can clean them up. Apollo's entry into the Gamma Quadrant will be risky.

Engineering The Bajorans are worried about the cosmic repercussions of letting the "god" Apollo through their Prophets' dwelling place. Conduct simulations to prove that Apollo's passage won't destabilize the Bajoran wormhole. The away team concludes that Apollo's passage through the wormhole will [be] as safe as the average human's. Satisfied that their Prophets won't be harmed, the Bajorans grant Apollo access to the Gamma Quadrant. The away team's projections don't prove that Apollo's presence will destabilize the wormhole, but they don't prove that it will be safe, either. The Bajorans insist on limiting Apollo's access to the Gamma Quadrant.
Going Once Command Diplomacy Enamored with the Alpha Quadrant, Apollo wants proof that the Gamma Quadrant is an equally interesting place. Vash's archaeological finds are evidence of rich culture, if you can beat the competition at her auction. The away team outbids even the Daystrom Institute for the best of Vash's artifacts. Impressed by the unique culture behind each artifact, Apollo decides the Gamma Quadrant may be worth a visit after all. In the bustle and chaos of Vash's archaeological auction, the away team is outbid by several Daystrom Institute members. They won't have any Gamma Quadrant artifacts to show Apollo.

The Meridians spend most of their existence as beings of pure consciousness. Such unclouded minds might be willing to worship Apollo, if you can find a way to speak to them in their non-corporeal state. The away team's tireless efforts uncover a subspace frequency which can hail the out-of-phase Meridians. There's no guarantee they will worship Apollo as he demands, but being able to speak to him is a start. The away team is unable to reach the Meridians when they are out of phase with physical reality. Their best hope of contacting them is when they rematerialize in sixty years, and Apollo cannot wait that long.

As Apollo's divine brothers and sisters lost their believers, they did not die, but they slowly faded beyond return. If any traces of their essence have made it to the Gamma Quadrant, Apollo may wish to be near them. Scanning for energy signatures like Apollo's own, the away team picks up a trace in the far reaches of the Gamma Quadrant. Apollo is moved by the thought of being near the remnants of his long-lost kin. No matter how hard the away team searches for traces of Apollo's lost kin, they cannot find any trace of the in the Gamma Quadrant. If Apollo wishes to be close to them, he will stay near his homeworld.

Security Joran Dax may be a talented musician, but he's a dangerous man. He's agreed to compose a piece on the Gamma Quadrant designed to intrigue Apollo, but you must keep watch over him until it is complete. As Joran pours himself into his work, the away team makes sure he stays physically and emotionally stable. Joran's completed 'Gamma Quadrant Sonata' nearly reduces the god of music to joyous tears. DIALOGUE FAIL

Medicine Apollo accepts that the Vorta are programmed to worship the Founders, but he worries the Founders may make others in the Gamma Quadrant the same way. Analyze Vorta DNA and see if this fear holds weight. The away team learns that the Founders' modifications to Vorta DNA could only work on the Vorta. Knowing the Founders won't cost him other potential devotees, Apollo remains intrigued by the Gamma Quadrant. The away team cannot find the genetic mechanism behind the Vorta's worship of the Founders. Fearing that such disloyal worship could be spread among other species, Apollo loses interest in the Gamma Quadrant.

Those suffering from the agonizing Teplan blight could use a god of medicine's help more than most. Escort a young woman Teplan all the way from the Gamma Quadrant to plead her people's case before Apollo. The away team takes every precaution to protect the Teplan from stress or exposure that could worsen her health. Her passionate pleas for a cure for her people make a great impression on Apollo, god of medicine. While the away team is escorting Teplan to see Apollo, the strain of travel causes her disease to Quicken. The team is unable to ease her pain, and she begs to be taken home so she can die with her family.

Apollo Ferenginus Science Diplomacy Underwhelmed by a god of light and music, the Ferengi would be more impressed by Apollo in the guise of one of their Celestial Auctioneers. Search traditional Ferengi texts to learn what such a being would look like. There are few clear descriptions of the Celestial Auctioneers, but the away team learns enough for Apollo to present himself as one to the Ferengi. They are impressed, especially by his gold-pressed latinum robes. None of the texts the away team studies can agree on what a Celestial Auctioneer should look like. Frustrated, Apollo reveals himself to the Ferengi in his own natural form, and they remain unimpressed.

Science Diplomacy The Traditionalists appreciate some of Apollo's powers, but they don't care about his music. Write a song for the god's lyre that could tame a sabre bear, and the Ferengi may have the makings of a circus show. Apollo's lyre and the away team's music have a sabre bear performing tricks in no time. The Traditionalists waste no time investing in temples for Apollo and more animals for him to tame for an audience. The away team struggles to compose a piece for the deceptively simple lyre. When Apollo performs their work, its screeching nearly deafens all Ferengi in earshot. This is not the impression he had hoped to make.

Science Command Engineering The massive hand Apollo once used to halt the Enterprise could build ships faster than any mortal tools, saving time and latinum. Arrange a construction race between Apollo and the Antares Ship Yards to prove it. Apollo builds a runabout faster than the Federation's best engineers, and thanks to the away team, his victory is broadcast across the quadrant. The Traditionalists rethink the value of having a god on their side. The away team can't convince the Antares Ship Yards' engineers to stake their professional reputations against a supposed god. Apollo will have to find another way to demonstrate his power to the Ferengi.

Diplomacy After many long years alone on Pollux IV, Apollo had hoped to find a human woman to spend his life with, but perhaps you can find a Ferengi female who is romantically interested in the god. The away team finds several Traditionalist females who like the idea of marrying a god—he could offer them powers that Ferengi males deny them. Flattered by their pursuit, Apollo begins to take a liking to Ferenginar. Every Ferengi female you approach about being romantically involved with Apollo is impressed by his powers but put off by his human-sized lobes. The mighty god remains lovelorn and alone.

Medicine The most skeptical among the Traditionalists claim that Apollo's so-called powers are just an elaborate hoax. Conduct an unbiased medical analysis of Apollo to show the mechanism behind his powers. The away team shows that Apollo stores and releases his power from an organ located in his chest, channeling it through the rest of his body at will. Their report is so thorough that no skeptic can discount it. Although Apollo is humanoid, his physiology is more complicated than the away team expected. Their report on the source of his power is more hypothesis than fact, and some Traditionalists still consider him a hoax.
Food Fit for the Gods Diplomacy

Diplomacy Apollo struggles to see the Traditionalists as anything other than selfish, which is not the right mindset for faithful worshippers. Convince them that hosting a banquet in his honor would be worth the expense. The away team talks the Ferengi into being on Apollo's good side and talks them out of skimping on the banquet's budget. Their generous feast makes Apollo reconsider his assumptions about the Ferengi. The away team convinces a few reluctant Ferengi to host Apollo for dinner, but when they serve a cheap meal, the god storms out of the house in a rage. Apollo is close to writing the Ferengi off as hopelessly selfish.

Science Diplomacy After observing Ferengi society, Apollo is concerned that the Traditionalists would not appreciate the gifts he could give them. Search the Rules of Acquisition for appropriate words of wisdom to reassure him. The away team's research leads them to Rule 57: "Good customers are as rare as latinum. Treasure them." Their arguments convince Apollo that if he blesses the Ferengi, they will value him eternally in return. While the away team fruitlessly searches the Rules of Acquisition, Apollo reads some of the Rules himself. They only confirm his worst suspicions about Ferengi ingratitude, and he is reluctant to speak with them.
Seeing Is Believing Command Engineering Engineering Hearing that Apollo can turn faith into actual power is one thing, but the Traditionalists want to see this in action. Safely drain the dilithium crystal matrix of a ship's warp core so that Apollo can restore it. Thanks to the away team's preparations, when Apollo directs his power into the drained warp core, both it and its ship surge to life. All Ferengi on board are thrilled by the business implications of this. It takes incredible strain to drain a warp core's dilithium matrix, and the away team can't manage to drain it fully in time for Apollo's demonstration. He'll have to find another way to prove his power to the Ferengi.
The Apollonian Games Diplomacy Science

Science The Ferengi have agreed to host a series of games in Apollo's honor—casino games. Compete at the dabo table and prove to Apollo that these games require just as much skill as the contests he knew on Earth. After hours of grueling dabo games, the away team emerges victorious from the table. Awed by the risks they took and skill they demonstrated, Apollo has a newfound appreciation for the Ferengi way of life. The away team loses their first dabo game due to a rigged dabo wheel. Offended that cheating has occured at games that are meant to be a show of skill and honor, Apollo refuses to participate further.
To Each Their Own Altar Security Diplomacy Medicine Above all his other doubts about the Traditionalists, Apollo doubts that they can truly be worshipful. Disguise him as a Ferengi so he can visit the Sacred Marketplace and see just how reverent they can be. Once the away team disguises him as a Ferengi, Apollo visits the Sacred marketplace where thousands of Ferengi single-mindedly worship one thing: profit. He is determined to win such devotion for himself. The away team can't persuade Apollo to be a 'grubby' Ferengi, no matter how handsome a disguise they offer him. He won't be able to witness the Ferengi's truest devotion in the Sacred Marketplace: devotion to profit.
