"Number One" was a Human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century. Sometime prior to 2254 she assigned to the USS Enterprise as a lieutenant in the command division, serving under the command of Captain Christopher Pike. As well as being one of the ship's helmsman, she was its first officer. Her name was not Number One, as that is simply a naval slang term given to first officers, but her actual name has not yet been revealed in official material.
