Hi. Why you created Lon Suder's char page with five-star stats? --Koba44 (talk) 03:29, 13 October 2016 (CDT)

Just a copy/paste mistake that I forgot to change. My first time adding a new character so mistakes happen. Easily fixed. --Darxide (talk) 12:35, 13 October 2016 (CDT)

Order of Crew Skills

I noticed you've been creating a few new crew pages lately, and that's great! However, the order you've been putting skills in the stat table isn't consistent with other crew pages on the wiki. The order that should be used is the order a character's stats appear on the left side of the crew management screen, which is constant across all characters and allows easier stat entry and fact-checking. For reference, the order is CommandDiplomacyEngineeringSecurityScienceMedicine. You'll note that this is also the order the infobox at the top of crew pages automatically lists. SleepingDragon (talk) 16:06, 19 October 2016 (CDT)

Noted for future reference. Thanks for the heads-up. I was simply entering them in the order in which it was listed on the in-game popup message of the day. Didn't even think about the order. So many different things to keep track of when learning the different standards the Wiki has developed! --Darxide (talk) 20:48, 19 October 2016 (CDT)

Just a notification that I answered. Cheers! --Crunch (talk) 19:07, 16 November 2016 (CST)

Stars

Glad to be of assistance. I used word's find and replace to just copy whole document into word and find "}}{{stars|U" and replace with "|". Very quick to go through every page. --Titantalk 23:36, 4 December 2016 (CST)

Crew Heads: Vault, Stars, and Transparency

Hiho. Feel free to join the discussion here. Unfortunately almost nobody will notice these discussions unless they keep an eye on recent changes, or stumble upon them by accident, or something :-/
Hm, I think I'll link to it on the community page, as it might be interesting for others as well. --Crunch (talk) 17:40, 6 December 2016 (CST)

The Professor

Hiho. I noticed you corrected the proficiencies for The Professor for L.80 2*, which apparently had no items equipped.
However, items don't just give proficiency, they quite often also increase base stats, too. Therefore, it is not enough to just copy&paste the prof values from the other rarity values, the base stats need to be corrected as well.
In some cases, it can be reverse-engineered *which* exact items were not equipped, so that the base values can be adjusted as well. This seems to be the case here as well, as all items give both a prof *and* base increase. However, to be on the safe side (=if the contributor entered incorrect data due to not taking care of which items were equipped, he might have been careless with other things as well), it's usually better to completely delete these data sets, or at the very least mark the reverse-engineered base values with question marks.
In this case, I just deleted it. Cheers! --Crunch (talk) 20:49, 28 December 2016 (CST)

Links

Sorry, as you can see I've been getting a boat load of questions, missed yours. Im not sure exactly what you mean? Are you wanting Captchas whenever there is an external link in an edit? Titantalk 10:44, 28 February 2017 (CST)

I understand you've been busy, that's why I nudged this question again. What I mean is that I cannot save any post with external links. When I press the save button the page just reloads and the edit is not saved. On the old Wiki, the page would reload and then a security question would appear at the top. Now, there is no security question so I believe the Wiki is expecting some form of anti-spam measure, but nothing is displaying. --Darxide (talk) 10:48, 28 February 2017 (CST)
Hmmmm, perhaps try pushing save an additional time? We are using ConfirmEdit, so it might have something to do with that. We will see. Titantalk 11:28, 28 February 2017 (CST)
In other news, lets see if you have any issues now. Just made you an Admin. Titantalk 12:33, 28 February 2017 (CST)
Awesome, I will be checking this tonight using an alt account. Let me know if you have any questions about any admin features. Titantalk 14:25, 28 February 2017 (CST)

Loss of Session

Unfortunately its happening to everyone. We are working to see why its doing this. Hopefully it will be fixed this weekend. Sorry for the inconvenience. --Titantalk 14:52, 8 March 2017 (CST)

Mission Names (Episode/Distress Calls)

Hi Darxide, Please see my post under the Community Portal and comment/vote. Thanks and have a good evening, Titantalk 02:22, 12 July 2017 (CDT)

Blank lines

That's an unfortunate part of the formatting in the crew/add template. I usually do go back and delete them after I make new 4s, but I apparently forgot on those two. Middlehead (talk) 15:09, 29 July 2017 (CDT)

  • Hm, it didn't always work that way. I'll have to look at the template and see if I can fix it. --Darxide (talk) 18:19, 29 July 2017 (CDT)

The Killing Syndrome

Hi Darxide!
Where did you get the skill requirements for Episode 8 from? I am getting different (=higher) requirements. I fixed the ones for mission 1, can't access the others yet to check. Cheers! --Crunch (talk) 16:41, 6 December 2017 (CST)

Yea, I think I got a copy/paste wrong and mixed it all up. Sorry about that. --Darxide (talk) 02:54, 7 December 2017 (CST)
UPDATE: Fixed all of the requirements. --Darxide (talk) 03:02, 7 December 2017 (CST)

ItemPic Request

I figured out what was going on. In your blank code section, the<div display:none> wasnt playing well with {{ItemPic}}. I put that section in an <includeonly> section, so you won't see it on the Crew Quarters page, but it will be an issue if you transclude that page somewhere else.--Siguard (talk) 22:04, 30 December 2017 (CST)

I don't think there's any danger in me ever transcluding my Crew Quarters page anywhere. Thanks for figuring that out. That section is just there for my own use to copy/paste whenever I add a new crew memeber. Thanks for looking at this. I couldn't figure it out and I stared at the template for a long time. It never occurred to me that the problem was something on my page that was interacting strangely. --Darxide (talk) 22:39, 30 December 2017 (CST)
Ok, I'm pretty sure I got it now. Sorry for all of the trial and error here.--Siguard (talk) 11:29, 1 January 2018 (CST)
Alright, take a look now and let me know if anything is still messed up. If it is, then could you take a screenshot and post it here? I'm not seeing anything else wrong.--Siguard (talk) 17:23, 1 January 2018 (CST)

New Template Question

Hey Siguard, I'm trying to create a new template. ... it could be rolled into the existing SP template ... it will then take whatever numbers you input and add your Starbase and Collection Bonuses to them. ... --Darxide (talk) 20:37, 23 May 2018 (CDT)

I figured I'd respond because I wrote the {{Crew Page ATS Table}} template. ... Create a separate template that would need the template call would look like: {{spbonus|<base>|<min prof>|<max prof>|<skill>|<username>}}. There is no way to get around needing the skill code, and the username. the username can be used to access the user's cvc bonuses, the User:<username>/fleet page, which then accesses the users fleet bonuses. ... The skill is required to know which bonus to use. This could be incorporated into {{SP}}, but it should be designed as a separate template and "bug tested" before being merged into SP. ... Hope this helps, Titantalk 00:30, 25 May 2018 (CDT)
Did it. You are now able to use the {{SP}} template with a specific user's bonuses by using {{SP|<base>|<min prof>|<max prof>|<skill>|User=<username>}}. Titan is right though, you do need to enter the skill for this to work, otherwise the template will return the base stats entered.--Siguard (talk) 11:49, 25 May 2018 (CDT)
First, thanks for doing that for me. Though there is a problem. It's returning the incorrect values. I just tested with Kortar, but it's returning numbers higher than they should be. I've double checked on Kortar's crew page and everything is fine there. I checked the page code for the base values and they agree with mine, so it's the calculations in the {{SP}} template that are sending back the wrong numbers. --Darxide (talk) 22:35, 25 May 2018 (CDT)
I've been looking at the new {{SP}} template and I found where it's going wrong. It's using the {{ATSB}} template with a negative bonus. This isn't working right because when calculating bonus stats the game rounds down to the nearest whole number. For example, Kortar's base core Command is 921. My total core Command bonus is 11%. So, 921*1.11 = 1022.31 which the game rounds to 1022. {{ATSB|921|-11}} outputs 1035 instead of 1022. Breaking down {{ATSB}}, {{ATSB|921|-11}} translates to 921/(1-(-11/100)) which equals 1034.83 which gets rounded up to 1035. Basically, {{ATSB}} can't be used in reverse. --Darxide (talk) 23:08, 26 May 2018 (CDT)
Damnit! sorry, I thought I was being clever there. I figured flipping the signs would do the trick, but forgot about the dividing instead of multiplying. That's fixed now.--Siguard (talk) 20:31, 27 May 2018 (CDT)

Bell Riots Jadzia's Outfit

Hey. I saw you uploaded Bell Riots Jadzia's Outfit Legendary pic and I was like, "What? I totally took a screen shot of that and everything." but then I found out I forgot to upload it. ...oops. Sorry. Anyway, just letting you know that the root image is uploaded now. Sorry for the inconvenience.--Siguard (talk) 08:51, 15 June 2018 (CDT)
